Why does it feel like everything gets harder after you say “yes” to God’s design for your life?

 I’ve read it in scripture. I’ve heard it echoed through the stories of countless people walking in purpose. And now I’ve lived it myself—again and again.

When you say “yes” to your purpose, when you accept the divine mission your soul came here to fulfill… it will cost you. That cost often looks like pain, uncertainty, and confusion—not because you’re doing something wrong, but because you’ve stepped into something sacred. Something holy. Something that has to be forged in fire.

I am no exception. I said yes to my calling over 15 years ago, and what has followed has been a journey filled with immense highs… and soul-wrenching lows. These last four years cranked the heat. And the last eight months? They brought me to my knees.

Moments where I felt completely alone. Moments where I stared at the ceiling wondering if I missed God. Moments when I had to stop everything and ask a question many of us are taught not to ask:

“Why, God?”
 Why is this happening again?
 Why another drought?
 Why another heartbreak, setback, or stripping?

But that question—Why—opened the door to a deeper knowing. A knowing that brought me into alignment with Yeshua’s own journey: his initiation under John, followed by a wilderness season. And through that lens, I could finally see the purpose behind the pain.

Luke 4:1-2 “Yeshua, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by God into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil (ego).”

This video is the result of that clarity. It didn’t come quickly. It came slowly, painfully, with tears and revelations stretched out over months. But I share it now in hopes that it gives you a mirror for your own journey.
